As mentioned in a previous tutorial, I was told to experiment a little more with the depth of the city. I layered ink with lighter to darker tones, intending to give the impressions that the lighter building were further away in the background. I think the method was effective, however, I am concerned that because of the direct painting style, the buildings aren't straight enough. I will experiment later with using tones I have painted and collage them via Photoshop. It is possible that this method will make them look too straight, but I think it is worth trying.

Having scanned in one of my images I decided to add some colour to the background. I felt the sepia was the most successful tone as it gave the right atmosphere. i wanted the city to feel empty and polluted. The blue tones in image 3 seemed too bright, and a blue sky is natural, so it didn't reflect the unnatural feel i wanted to create.
