Today I had to miss the talk by Carolyn Gowdy as I was working in the Bargate at the time. I was a bit dissappointed as i was looking forward to hearing her talk, of what I have seen of her work I really enjoy it. I love how direct her paintings are, and can see that I could gain some influence from her.http://www.margarethe-illustration.com/66/Carolyn+Gowdy.html
I did however enjoy my few hours in the gallery, especially meeting some people who had some interesting stories to tell. One Gentleman in particular was telling me about how he has cigarette tins sculpted during the Second World War by himself and friends. It was certainly interesting!
